On Wednesday, the 12th of August, 2026. Professor Junaidu Abdulkabir emerged as the newly elected Provost of the Postgraduate College of Veterinary Surgeons Nigeria (PCVSN).
He polled 193 votes out of 358 casted votes to emerge as the lead candidate among the 4 aspirants for the position.
Alongside him was elected Professor Olufunke Ola-Davies to stir the leadership of the college as the Deputy Provost. She polled 195 votes of the castes 358 votes to emerge elected among the 3 aspirants that vied for the position.
The Post graduate College of Veterinary Surgeons Nigeria, PCVSN, is the highest national institution established by the Veterinary Council of Nigeria, VCN, to provide advanced specialist Veterinary trainings to Veterinarians in Nigeria. The institution is also charged with the responsibility of running professional postgraduate programs for the conferment of membership (MCVSN) and fellowship (FCVSN) status that officially grant consultant certifications to qualified Veterinarians that have graduated from the college.
